For a modern touch, consider our additional property, Station Cottage, a stylish bungalow with a gated garden perfect for families or couples seeking privacy.

Both properties are great bases for family adventures, with easy access to beaches, adventure parks, and scenic walks in the New Forest, where you might see free-roaming ponies. Enjoy self-check-in for a relaxed vacation, and bring your pets along—they're welcome too!

Station Holiday Rentals offer a fantastic base for exploring the surrounding area. With the beach just a short drive away and the New Forest on your doorstep, you'll have plenty of options for day trips and adventures.

We advise checking the opening times and further information of the following recommendations before your visit.

Mudeford Quay

Mudeford Quay is a great place to try your hand at crabbing. You might even witness some friendly competition among fellow crabbers! From the quay, take a short ferry ride to Mudeford Sandbank, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach or relax on the sand. Afterwards, treat yourselves to a coffee or a bite to eat at one of the local cafes. Remember to pack some cash for the ferry ride and check the times before you travel.

Avon Beach

Avon Beach is a beautiful sandy beach located in Mudeford, England. It's known for its cleanliness and water quality, recently receiving a Blue Flag award. The beach offers various amenities, including a cafe, a shop, and the popular seafood restaurant, The Noisy Lobster. It's a great spot for swimming, sunbathing, and watersports, with a designated area for water activities. However, please note that dogs are not allowed on the beach during the summer months.

Hengistbury Head

Hengistbury Head is a fantastic destination for a family outing, just a 15-minute drive away. Ride the land train for easy access to Mudeford Sandspit, where you can relax and take in the breathtaking views with a cup of tea and cake, or indulge in a delicious meal at one of the cafes. For a rewarding experience, hike to the top of Warren Hill and be rewarded with panoramic vistas. The friendly staff and volunteers at the Visitor Centre are always available to provide helpful information and assist you in planning your visit.

Moors Valley Country Park and Valley

If your little ones love playing and exploring, head 25 minutes away to Moors Valley Country Park and Forest. Have fun in the woods on their Play Trail with unique wooden play structures. Climb inside a giant "Hawk," wriggle through giant snakes in the "Snake Pit," attempt the "Crocodile Crossing," and balance on the fallen forest of "Timber."
For a fun treat, ride the steam train to the other end of the park and grab an ice cream

Burley Village

Just a 10-minute drive away, Burley is a charming village in the New Forest, England. Oozing old-world charm, with ponies and cattle roaming around and pretty thatched cottages, it feels untouched by time. You'll find traditional butchers, village stores, and cozy inns. Don't forget to look out for the New Forest ponies and cattle as they roam freely. Explore the local witch shops and consider renting a bike to explore the breathtaking scenery.
